Governor General Vanier, Visit [Published]
Photo caption that accompanied 62-602_18, 62-602_53 and 62-602_60: "BUSY DAY - Governor-General Vanier and Mrs. Vanier had a busy day in the Twin Cities today, climaxed by the official opening of the St. Mary's Hospital addition by the governor-general. The Queen's representative (left) [62-602_53] signs Kitchener's distinguished visitors book prior to a civic luncheon at the Walper Hotel. The roaring welcome a Waterloo Lutheran University (centre) [62-602_18] was typical of the reception accorded youngsters. And it was reciprocated, as evidenced by Mrs. Vanier's open-armed glee (right) [62-602_60] when presented with flowers by Kerry Gray, daughter of Mayor and Mrs. Gray, at Kitchener Auditorium."
Image of a crowd of excited and cheering children dressed for cool weather waving Union Jack flags behind a cordon.
