Wooden identification tag issued to Cameron Hill during the Second World War when he was held in custody as a prisoner of war at Stalag XVIIIC (317), a German prisoner of war camp located in Markt Pongau, Austria from September 27, 1943 to November 25, 1943.
Between October 1942 and May 1945, Cameron Hill was captured as a prisoner of war by the Axis Powers, held in custody, and sent to POW camps in Libya, Italy, Austria, Prussia, Poland, and Germany.
